Equations, kanji, circuit diagrams, a phrase in an alphabet your keyboard doesn't have. Write or draw either side of a card with a stylus or a finger, so the card looks like what you'd have written on paper.
No account. No sign-in. Works with no signal.

A card, and the three buttons that schedule it.
Plenty of what is worth learning is not. Chemical structures. Kanji and hanzi. Circuit diagrams, anatomy sketches, a derivation that only makes sense written out.
Flashy lets you type a side when typing suits it, and write it when it doesn't.
The pen
And forgiving of a finger.
A stylus thickens and thins the way ink does. A finger writes at full width instead of a faint one.
Without reaching for a toolbar, and without leaving the card.
The colours you last used sit beside the pen, so the ones you actually work in are always one tap away.
The palette, as it ships.
The shelf
A term, a subject, a chapter. Nest them however your course is actually shaped.
A folder counts the cards due underneath it, so you can see where the work is without opening anything.

before the exam
Draw from any decks you pick, due or not, weighted towards the cards you know least well.
no stakes
Cycle one deck at random for as long as you like. Nothing recorded, no due dates moved.
The schedule
Each of the three grades pushes a card out by a number of days you choose, so the schedule fits how you actually study instead of someone else's model.
What a fresh install starts with:
Your cards
Nothing to register. Open it and start writing.
Of any kind. There is nowhere for your cards to go.
Everything runs on the device. A signal is never part of it.
Export the whole library, or a single deck, to a file you choose. Import it on another device just as easily.
Optional, and off until you connect it. Flashy keeps a folder of its own in your Drive. No Flashy account, no server of ours in the middle, and nothing in there readable by anything but this app.
The price
Unlocking removes two limits and changes nothing else. No feature is held back, and there are no adverts anywhere.
